Electrical Engineer - Project Engineer - Electrical Components Located near Marengo, IL Full time permanent position Salary range 80-90k Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 5
years of industry experience (Forklift, Heavy Machinery, Heavy Trucking) Project team experience Nice to Haves:
Wire harness & Design (3D CAD Wire Harness) Analytical prediction Regulatory standards DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of five years design and development experience in the forklift or related industry including automotive and heavy industrial equipment.
Position requires knowledge of Electrical design, Wire harness & Design (3D CAD Wire Harness), circuit and component design and electrical drive systems.
Prefer project management and supervisory experience.
Technical Skills:
Minimum Microsoft Office 2003 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; UGS CAD Proficiency.
KEY MEASURES Design Detailed engineering analysis Design best practices DFMEA/DTD/DTM Value Analysis Activity Product Engineering PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE Advanced Engineering design for new product development, building and testing of prototypes and implementation of product into production and aftermarket.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Responsible for design related tasks associated with project.
2.
Verifies work of engineering personnel including layout designs and drawings, calculations.
3.
Works with vendor to apply latest technology.
4.
Assists in building and testing of prototypes.
a.
Organizes and analyzes test and design analysis dates.
5.
Ensures specifications are met during development stage by coordinating efforts with Manufacturing, Service, Compliance and Marketing departments.
6.
Supports design through implementation phase of product into production and aftermarket.
7.
Seeks to reduce costs through Value Analysis activity in coordination with accounting, manufacturing, supplier development and purchasing.
8.
Participate in Value-up program committees 9.
Completion of timely review, analyses and appropriate dispositions of all assigned Suggestions.
10.
Always acts in a professional and courteous manner, representing Company's highest standards of business conduct; exhibits a positive attitude, sharing information with co-workers as appropriate and works to promote a cooperative, productive teamwork environment.
