Brief Summary of Position: This position will develop and monitor procedures to improve product throughput and to conduct a wide range of engineering work including: initiating new parts, introducing new process procedures, general engineering, and magnetic material processing.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions of Position:
Perform a variety of duties in assisting with quality and engineering aspects of manufacturing.
Monitor manufacturing processes to assure smooth operation and product flow and troubleshoot processes, material or equipment issues.
Create/assist with new product routing.
Work with environmental and environmental metrics reporting.
Initiate corrective actions to improve Quality and Productivity Performance.
Assist with work center loading and capacity planning.
Back up to Production Control Planner for the closing of shop orders.
Work with the AS9100 quality management system
Industries: Aerospace and Defense, Power Generation, Medical, Battery, Chemical, Computer, Automotive and General Industrial.
Required Technical Skills / Job Experience and

Supervisory
Responsibilities:
This position will not have any direct reports, however may take on a supervisory role as it relates to project work.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may also be considered.

Strong analytic/reasoning and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience with ERP/MRP systems for engineering functions.
Possess a mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.
Ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly
Excellent customer service and communication skills to facilitate productive interaction with coworkers, and internal/external customers and vendors.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Working Conditions:
Standard work week is Monday through Friday, hours to be consistent with business unit; some off hours work may be expected
Generally working in Office with activities in the production environment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
Standing, sitting and/or working at a computer for extended periods of time

Personal Computer with job related software (CAD, Excel, Access, Word, ERP)
General Office Equipment
